RCM Workshop Series: Making Your Craft Show Application Stand Out

Are you new to vending at craft shows? A seasoned craft artist looking to expand into new show avenues or looking for new tips to polish and tailor your application for juried indie focused craft shows? It’s more than putting a bird on it or whatever happens to be the latest crafty trend. It's about your application showcasing your creations for a great first impression.

As the indie craft movement has grown over the years, there can be hundreds of people applying for spots that can only accommodate less than 50% of those crafters. Competition can be tight! This can be a little nerve racking trying to condense what you do in a handful of paragraphs and a couple of photos but this is where we can help.

The Richmond Craft Mafia, organizers of the Handmade Holiday and Spring Bada-Bing Craft Shows are holding our first workshop that will be full of tips that will take the intimidation out of applying to craft shows and help make your application look polished and craft show ready.

The workshop will be held September 12 from 6:15 to 9pm, at Quirk Gallery. Topics to be covered: how to find the show that's right for you, the importance of categorizing your shop correctly, tips for putting together a good application with photos, the process of jurying a craft show, and we’ll walk through a faux show application of our own!

who: You and the RCM
what: RCM Workshop Series: Making Your Craft Show Application Stand Out.
where: Quirk Gallery, 311 West Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23220
when: September 12 from 6:15-9pm
fee: $10
There will be refreshments for attendees. Space is limited, so make sure you lock in your spot using our online RSVP form that can be found at:
